1-Point Perspective Drawing of My Room (Art 1-2)

Personal Comment: With this project I wanted to make something that expressed "me" in it. And what better way to do that, then to draw my own room. I have made a few various variations for the purpose of the drawing. For example the shelving unit on the right side of the picture is not actually empty, but I drew it to be that way, so that I could practice drawing the lines of the individual shelf's, which proved to be more difficult then just filling them with books and various objects. The small black formation on the end of the bed is may cat (Sparkle), I drew her in the picture as well because she is in my room just as much as any other piece of furniture. Overall, this is my room, this is my drawing, and on the bed that's my cat.

"Ride the Wave"..Board Design (Art 1-2)

Personal Comment:
I personally love riding wave boards, rather than skateboards, so I felt it would be more meaningful to me to make a design based around me rather than the traditional skateboard design layout. The waves in the lines of the design represent the way you ride the board and the way it feels to move continually with out interruption, on a bending path.

Save the Bay Skateboard Design (Art 1-2)

Personal Comment :
I did this freehand, and this was my first skateboard design this year. The artwork on it I designed to send a message about our worlds oceans, and the mass amounts of pollution that resides there. My Aim was to make this as creepy as possible but not to a point were it dis wads your interest  Every dead fish/trash object is connected to the Jellyfish by the tentacles and appendages that they have been entangled in.

The Beatles Skateboard Design (Art 1-2)

Personal Comment:
With this I just wanted to do something that would be familiar to most people. So I choose The Beatles. This is my own black and white rendition of the famous Beatles album, Abby Road. This was by far one of my funnest art projects this year, because I got to make it my own with out any guidelines. Plus it did not take me that long at all (about 3 hours). I hope this brings a smile to your face as I know it has done for mine.

Drawing of Dwight K. Shrute (Art 1-2)

Personal Comment:
This is a drawing of one of the characters from the popular NBC show "The Office" (Dwight K. Shrute). I choose to draw this character in particular because he has, to me, the most interesting shaped and proportioned face. I wanted a challenge so I liked that he was wearing glasses because that is something I'm not used to in portrait drawings.
Materials: Construction paper, Graphite sticks, charcoal, shading sticks, art pencils.

Welcome to "Here"

Drawing of Abraham Lincoln (Art 1-2)

Personal Comments:
I always enjoy working from old photographs and blurry images, (like the source of this one was), because I feel like as you are drawing you are discovering the photo on the paper. The photo you end up with through drawing is always much more intense and vivid than the photo you drew it from.
